Brain Function And Increases Concentration

Good Nutrition Interferes With Brain Function And Increases Concentration

Did I lock my door? Did I take the medicine today? Where did I leave my phone?

If you need to think more clearly, improve memory, and increase concentration to make decisions, the solution may be in your diet.

Everything we eat has a major impact on brain function and can interfere with mood, thought, behavior, memory, learning and cell aging.

Through a colorful and varied diet, we can provide the nutrients needed to keep the brain active and healthy.

Important foods for good brain function :

- Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates - cereals, breads, pastas, vegetables, fruits - should make up at least 50% of the diet. Glucose is the brain's energy fuel. It is therefore essential to eat at regular times - every three hours - and eat five to six meals to keep blood glucose stable throughout the day.

Dark Green Fruits and Vegetables

Sources of vitamin C, they are an important antioxidant that protect neurons from oxidative damage to free radicals.

- Brazil nuts, nuts and almonds

Rich in vitamins E and selenium, reduce oxidative stress and damage to brain cells, improve the immune system and protect against cellular aging.

Fish

Excellent sources of omega 3 fish - salmon, tuna, herring and sardines - are important for neurological function, cognitive sensitivity, learning and behavior.

Flaxseed Flaxseed Flaxseed

flour has anticarcinogenic, anti-atherogenic effect - lowering LDL and increasing HDL - and is also a good source of omega 3.

- Eggs

Egg yolk is rich in choline, a necessary nutrient for nerve transmission, biliary regulation and liver function. It minimizes excess liver fat, aids hormone production and is required for lipid and cholesterol metabolism. Without choline, brain function and memory are impaired.

- Milk and derivatives, honey, oats, whole grains and legumes (beans, lentils and soy)

These foods are sources of tryptophan, the amino acid precursor of serotonin. Serotonin (5-HT) plays an important role in the nervous system, with various functions such as the release of some hormones, sleep regulation, body temperature, appetite, mood, motor activity and cognitive functions.
